The entire passport application process is conducted online through the eCitizen  platform. To apply, visit eCitizen and create an account using your email and national  ID number. Activate your account via the confirmation email, log in, and navigate to  the Department of Immigration Services. Select Passport Application and fill in your  details accurately, then upload scanned copies of the required documents.

The cost of obtaining an ordinary Kenyan passport varies based on the number of pages. The A Series passport (34 pages) costs Ksh 7,550, the B Series passport (50 pages) costs Ksh 9,550, and the C Series passport (66 pages) is priced at Ksh 12,050. Once payment is completed, schedule an appointment at your preferred immigration  office for biometric data capture. During this appointment, you will provide  fingerprints and have your photograph taken. Bring the printed application form and  payment receipt, original documents used in the application (ID, birth certificate, etc.),  and three recent passport-sized photographs. After biometric capture, you can track  your passport status through the eCitizen portal. Notifications will inform you when  your passport is ready for collection.

Once notified, visit the designated immigration office with your original ID card and  acknowledgment receipt to collect your passport. Ensure accuracy in your application  to avoid delays, submit clear and legible scanned documents, and attend your biometric  appointment as scheduled. The digitalization of the passport application process has  enhanced efficiency and accessibility. By following these steps, applicants can secure  their passports with ease and minimal delays.
