This week we look at Kilifi’s strategic priorities for 2020/21 as set out in the Annual Development Plan for Kilifi for financial year 2020/21 (“ADP”). These proposals will give us an idea of how the budget estimates will look like once they are published.
The ADP sets out the plans under the different County dockets. Notably, the County Government of Kilifi (“CGK”) intends to fund most of the budget, which then makes the plan overly ambitious and quite unrealistic in my view.
With proper planning, CGK would be able to attract private investors to undertake some of the required development.
